Thermal transfer is a printing process whereby a specially designed printer applies heat to the wax and resin on its ribbon before transferring them onto a label specially designed to absorb the heated substances. The process is similar to the one used by inkjet printers to transfer ink to paper, but here, heated wax and resin replace the ink. By using thermal transfer rather than regular printing, you wind up with labels that resist scratching and last much longer than regular labels. In addition, we can provide you with multicoloured printing and can also detail your labels for you
You can easily identify a thermal transfer label by its crisp, often glossy, printed surface. Its image is embedded so deeply that it’s part of the label material itself. In other words, it won’t rub off. Thermal transfer printing also guarantees you consistent, reliable high-quality printing label after label. If requested, we can provide you with archival-quality thermal transfer labels that withstand temperature extremes, ultraviolet exposure, chemicals, sterilization and other harsh treatments and conditions.
