What are Eco-Friendly Six Pack Rings Made From

Here at KinsBrae Packaging, we understand that we must look for eco-friendlier solutions in our packaging options. For decades, one of the most problematic types of packaging has been the plastic six-pack rings. These plastic rings are often seen as enemies of the ocean, and almost everyone has seen the images of marine animals with the rings encircling their bodies. So, we set out to find an option for eco-friendly six-pack rings.

Responsible Packaging

As a company, we are committed to bringing recyclable, sustainable, and environmentally conscious packaging options for our customers. Our eco-friendly six-pack rings product, E6PR is our solution for responsible packaging. Our innovative rings can hold cans together without trapping marine animals and resulting in any environmental hazards.

The E6PR product packaging solution offers beverage companies a cost-effective alternative while reducing the harmful effects of the traditional ring package. One of the most important features of the eco-rings is that they are completely biodegradable and can break down in approximately 200 days.

Other features of the E6PR include:

  • Eco-Friendly Materials
  • Not Petroleum-Based
  • Digestible Ingredients
  • Durable and Long-Lasting

What Are They Made From?

Our E6PR rings are made from a proprietary mix of biobased by-product waste from the food and beverage industry and other organic materials. This can help free up space in landfills and won’t cause problems in the world’s oceans.

We are also proud of our eco-friendly option as it uses no materials from refined oil, allowing us to help reduce their carbon footprint. Many standard six-pack ring packaging is made from petroleum.

And, if our echo rings do accidentally end up in the waterways, our product can be easily digested by wildlife, making it a safer alternative to the traditional plastic rings.

Certified and Aligned With Standards

Constructed with non-toxic materials, our eco rings have been tested by Avomeen Analytical Services and are certified to have no pesticides or other volatile substances. The E6PR has also been made to align with EPA standards for biodegradability and ASTM standards for a bio-based product.

One Small Change

When beverage companies switch to our eco rings, they are making one small change that can make a big impact. Plastics can affect the marine ecosystem not only by entanglement or ingestion from animals but also for how long they can stay in an environment without biodegrading. Unfortunately, many animals and birds mistake plastics for food, and once ingested, it can cause physical and chemical hazards.

It is now more important than ever to look for alternatives to plastic packaging. At KinsBrae Packaging, we make it easy to make the switch. Our biodegradable, environmentally responsible packaging can help your company transition to a planet-friendly solution.

Using an eco-friendly packaging solution lets your customers know that your organization prioritizes the environment and ecosystem. Research shows that today’s customers want to choose products from businesses that take this responsibility to the planet seriously.
